Our Founders
KEITH MURPHY
Keith has worked in the mortgage industry for over 20 years, specializing in government-insured loans such as VA, FHA and Reverse Mortgage. In recent years, Keith shifted the focus of his nationally recognized company to a more local California model in an effort to make a more positive impact on his community. The work he has done with Veterans has been particularly rewarding and he has appreciated the opportunity to represent such a vital part of California.
Education is something Keith values a great deal. He earned a degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts, augmented by his significant and ongoing education in the financial services and loan industries. When he is not at his desk, you can find him with his wife and 3 kids or on the Jeep trails with his rescue dog Brady. He changes into his Crocks when he arrives to work, he calls them his office slippers. We sure like to tease him about that.
JOHN GIANGARDELLA
John “G” has been in the mortgage business for over 20 Years specializing in conventional, Jumbo and government insured loans such as VA and FHA. After working for large banks, the Mortgage Banking Platform he decided to join forces with Keith Murphy and build GM Funding. The focus of helping Veterans has been the most gratifying venture of his career.
John was born and raised in Southern Orange County, CA. He received a BA in History from the University of Arizona. He currently resides in the beautiful town of San Clemente with his wife and 3 daughters. When he is not at work, he spends time with his family, at his local surf break or at the San Clemente Municipal Golf Course. If you want to find John G, just follow the peanut shells, he thinks our office is Angel Stadium.
Our Team
Dylan Crouse
Dylan Crouse has 20 years’ experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geo Engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara. He loves surfing, sport fishing, golfing, and hiking with his family. Ask him about plate tectonics.
Greg Brent
Greg is new to our team with 24 years’ experience in business to business sales and sales management. He has a Business Marketing Degree from Chico State University. When he is not spending time with his kids, you can find him with Keith at the local CrossFit Gym. We call him the Receptionist because he loves the desk closest to the front door and is our honorary greeter.
Colin De La Pena
Colin is a graduate from the University of Arizona with a Bachelor’s degree in Finance. He started working in loan processing and he is now a licensed Loan Officer. When he is not working late closing loans, he enjoys surfing, basketball, tennis and investing. We call him the “Doctorate”. When he sends you a proposal, you will understand his attention to detail.
Tyler Voigt
Tyler started out as a loan processor and recently acquired his license to be a mortgage loan originator. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Colorado State University. In his free time, he enjoys playing pickup basketball or bodysurfing down at the beach. He drinks all the office Topo Chicos, but we still love him.
Corey Quarles
Corey Quarles comes to us with 12 years of customer service/hospitality experience,which has been instrumental in her early success in the mortgage industry. She received a Business degree from Cal State Long Beach and is a new loan processor and knocking the ball out of the park. Corey likes going to the beach, hiking, and cooking. She hides the best snacks at her desk.
Carrie Settje
Carrie Settje has been in the mortgage business since 2006 and working as a loan processor. She has a Bachelor’s degree from Arizona State University (go Devils!). When she is not working, she enjoys Yoga, working out, and spending time with friends and family. She used to telecommute from Costa Rica, we are happy to have her back in the states.
Tanner De La Pena
Tanner is a part-time student and full-time loan processor. He is a gifted musician that loves to surf and play pickup basketball with Tyler. We call him the “Loan Machine”.
